**A.R. point goal for this grading period is 5 points (by Dec. 18). Students should be reading at home 20 min. 3 times/wk. and completing their reading log. Logs are checked on Friday.

6th Grade reading: We will read "The Night of the Pomegranate" and focus on making inferences. (pgs. 152-169). TEST ON FRIDAY, DEC. 5.

6th Grade language: We will work on identifying and writing common and proper nouns and then use our knowledge to write a persuasive business letter.

6th Grade spelling: Spelling pgs. 39-43 due on Thursday. TEST ON FRIDAY.

7th/8th Period Reading
We will continue working on vocabulary, decoding, plot, character, and setting.
Monday - Spelling: put spelling words in ABC order
Reading passage/answer the questions
Tuesday & Thursday - Timed reading passage
