**A.R. point goal for this grading period is 5 points. Students should be reading at home 20 min. 3 times/wk. and completing their reading log. Logs are checked on Friday.
1st/2nd & 3rd/4th reading: We will begin working on vocabulary, making inferences, & cause and effect using this week's selection How Tia Lola Came to Stay, Unit 2, Week 1. Test on Friday.
This week's vocabulary words: inscribed, resemblance, postmarked, enthralled, regulation, embarrassment, pennant, grouchy.
1st/2nd & 3rd/4th language: We will work on common and proper nouns. Test on Friday.
5th Lit Skills: We will continue to work in the Best Reading Practices Workbook. Any work not completed in class will be homework. Test on Friday.
7th/8th Reading: We will continue working on decoding, vocabulary, and story structure.
Homework: Fluency passages will be sent home on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
