A.R. point goal for this grading period is 5 points. Students should be reading at home 20 min. 3 times/wk. and completing their logs. Logs are checkec on Friday. This is a weekly grade.
1st/2nd - 3rd/4th Periods
Reading: Unit 1, Theme 5 (Interrupted Journey)
We will focus on making inferences and analyzing, determining main ideas and details, and identifying analogies and antonyms. Work not completed in class will be homework
Language: TEST on independent and dependent clauses and combining sentences Wednesday, Oct. 22. Run-on sentences - Thursday and Friday. Work not completed in class will be homework.
Spelling: Pages 25, 26, 27, due on Thursday, Oct. 23. TEST on Friday, Oct. 24.
5th Period - Lit. Skills
We will continue working in the Best Practices in Reading workbook.
7th/8th Reading
We will continue working in Triumphs Reading.
